Mozzarella di Bufala Campana PDO

Mozzarella di Bufala Campana PDO is a type of mozzarella made from the milk of domestic buffalo.

It has been granted the PDO status by the European Union, which certifies the high quality of the product.

Mozzarella di Bufala Campana PDO is a fresh, soft, semi-elastic, stringy textured cheese belonging to the “pasta filata” family.

The process of making pasta filata gives this snowy white mozzarella a mild, yet slightly sour taste. It features a rich, sweet and lactic flavour.

The consistency is soft, moist and somewhat granular. Mozzarella di Bufala Campana PDO is prepared by following the artisanal tradition.

Mozzarella di Bufala Campana PDO is available in packets of 250 g or 125 g.
